Family Dog Hair Locket

I love making these special pieces. Inspired by the book ‘How to Wrap Five Eggs’, a fascinating study of Japanese packaging and natural materials. I describe these pieces as modern lockets. The silver wire holds the little cube together and when removed, reveal a secret little draw which houses a tiny lock of hair. This example holds a lock of a beloved family dog, Phoebe, who sadly passed away. The Amethyst, Phoebe’s birthstone.
