Sherlockology is the largest independent website dedicated to the smash hit BBC television series SHERLOCK. A modern twist on the classic stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson, SHERLOCK launched on the BBC in 2010. Rapidly creating a huge fan following, it was an immediate hit, not only in the U.K, but also internationally as the series was sold to over 200 territories around the world.

Among those growing numbers of fans were a small group of friends from Kent, who as online creatives and marketeers formed into the team behind Sherlockology and launched their site the following year, just as the second series of the show was about to go into production. From there the website went on from strength to strength, working with both the BBC and also the production company behind the series, Hartswood Films, to deliver the latest SHERLOCK news to fans around the world. Today Sherlockology has over 1.5 million SHERLOCK fans worldwide following for updates on the next batch of new episodes.

In addition to the main site and social media platforms, Sherlockology also has an online store, Sherlockablia, offering Sherlockologists a range of apparel, accessories and books inspired by the world of their favourite consulting detective. Looking to expand into jewellery, in late 2013, Sherlockology wanted to give fans the opportunity to wear hand finished, yet affordable, SHERLOCK themed pieces and needed exactly the right designer to realise this idea in precious metal. Honeybourne Jewellery accepted this challenging and yet intriguing case and designed a range of bespoke pendants, pins and cufflinks, including cast silver miniature 221B Baker Street doors that solved this Final Problem and proved not only popular with the fans, but can often be seen on series producer, Sue Vertue at many SHERLOCK related events.
